Web Designer's Guide to Front Page 97
Published in Paperback by Hayden Books (March, 1997)
Average review score:

If you have Macintosh Frontpage 1.0, you NEED this book! Those of us who have Microsoft Frontpage 1.0 for Macintosh NEED this book. The Microsoft manual that comes with the CD is one of the least-informative books I have ever read in my life. Trying to find help using this program has been even worse. Anyone who needs help with Frontpage for Macintosh version 1.0 needs this book. It may the be the only help they can get! It gives great examples and figures to follow as well as being easy to read. You will find yourself immediately able to apply the information you come across. You will save yourself a lot of time and headaches!

Web Page Essentials
Published in Paperback by Que (January, 1997)
Average review score:

A first-rate educational resourceMr.Zimmerman's book is a well-written and thorough work suitable for classroom, corporate, and individual use. Broken up into a series of eight learning projects, "Web Page Essentials" imparts a great deal of important information to the reader. Unlike many other technical manuals, however, "Web Page Essentials" is extremely accessible and reader-friendly--objectives and technical terms are clearly spelled out and defined, and individual lessons/tutorials are enhanced with numerous graphics and explanatory captions. "Web Page Essentials" is truly a first-rate educational resource.

Web Publisher's Design Guide for Windows, 2nd Edition: Your Visual Step-by-Step Guide to Designing Incredible Web Pages
Published in Paperback by The Coriolis Group (21 May, 1997)
Average review score:

High marks from a web designer who STARTED with this book. This Design Guide was the only reference I used to design my first website, with no prior knowledge of HTML and little understanding of the Internet on the whole. That first site, developed almost three years ago, was simple but successful and has changed little since that time despite changing designers and webmaster several times. The case studies and examples provided are informative and entertaining, and it is written in an easy-to-use format. If you see an example of something you'd like to appropriate for your own design, clear HTML instructions are provided at the end of each section. This is a book that not only offers tips for a beginning developer, but could prove to be useful for a developer who needs to sharpen his/her design skills.

Wedding Bells Magnetic Page Photo Album
Published in Hardcover by C R Gibson Co (2000)
Average review score:

A wedding present for a cousin far awayI liked this special photo album because I am thinking in my cousin who live in Japan and she is getting married next nov 19, so I decided to look for something special that she and her husband (soon to be anyway) will enjoy and bring to their memories in a few years this special and magic time for them. This special product is traditional but yet beautiful, and I am sure that my cousin will like it also. Happy Wedding Masako!!!

White Page/An Bhileog Bhan

Irish women make their markJoan McBreen, the extraordinary poet, turns a much needed spotlight on Irish women poets. They have been absurdly second-classed by the literati, but no more. Thanks to this serious, compelling volume, the full grandeur of Irish literature comes into focus. A book that bears reading, and re-reading.

Wild Sounds of the Northwoods (audio cassette and 40-page booklet)
Published in Audio Cassette by NatureSound Studio and NorthSound Music Group (01 July, 1998)
Average review score:

Superb!!This CD includes recordings of 100 species commonly heard in the north, including mostly birds, but also mammals, amphibians, and even an insect! Each selection is reasonably long and includes a variety of vocalizations, and the accompanying booklet is wonderful, clearly but simply explaining the contexts in which each sound is made. Lang Elliott scores another home run.
